Introduction

Credentialing verifications are required and vary from accreditation body to internal policies and procedures.  The verification sources have been quite static over the past years with advancement in practices occurring with the expanded use of the methodologies available in which to verify a credential.  

This session will address the top 20 elements – a solid credentialing verification program should include that are considered “core” sources.  Targeting this list of 20 doesn’t exclude specific cultural needs but will provide to the credentialing specialist, and/or a Credentials Committee or Medical Executive Committee (MEC) the baseline verifications that will help these professionals make informed decisions about the competence of a practitioner.
